Appalachian State University Mountaineers Women’s Basketball Elite Camp

The Appalachian State University Mountaineers Women’s Basketball Elite Camp is inviting all girls in grade 9 up to grade 12 who aspire to play at the college level and improve their game. It will be a single-day training program that will run from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM on the 24th of August. It is going to take place at the Appalachian State University’s leading-edge Varsity Gym. In addition, this high-level basketball training program will be an intense but fun experience. It focuses on refining technical skills and improving the player’s tactical understanding. The program will also emphasize team plays, shooting techniques, and footwork. The camp registration fee $75 per participant. Available camper spots are limited so registration is on a first come first served basis.

Moreover, running this basketball elite camp is the Appalachian State University Mountaineers women’s basketball coaching staff. Current Mountaineer women’s basketball players are also in attendance to help facilitate the event.

Appalachian State University Mountaineers Women’s Basketball Elite Camp Organizers

The Head Coach of the Appalachian State University Mountaineers women’s basketball team is Angel Elderkin, a native of East Providence, Rhode Island. Coach Angel Elderkin is now in her fifth season at the helm of the Mountaineers women’s basketball program. She is a bachelor’s degree in Sociology graduate from the University of Southern Maine. She then earned her master’s degree in Physical Education and Exercise Science at East Tennessee State University. Prior to her head coaching role at the Appalachian State University, Coach Angel Elderkin was Louisiana State University’s women’s assistant basketball coach. She also has assistant coaching stints at St. John’s, Virginia, and Siena.

The Appalachian State University Mountaineers women’s basketball assistant coaches are Kate Dempsey, Sam Pierce Jr., and Cristina Centeno. Trevor Smith is the Director of Basketball Operations and Mike Huth is the Director of Player Development. Finally, P.J. Bellantoni is the Video Coordinator.
