Christopher Newport University Captains Women’s Basketball Prospect Camp

The Christopher Newport University Captains Women’s Basketball Prospect Camp is a two-day high-level basketball training program that will fall on the 28th and 29th of June. It is inviting all female basketball players entering grade 9 up to grade 12 who desire to take their game to the collegiate level. This basketball prospect camp is going to take place at the state of the art Freeman Center which is on the Christopher Newport University campus. Furthermore, this basketball camp includes advanced skill development drills, position work, games, and college admission and recruiting seminar. The program is going to accommodate both residential and computer campers. The registration fee for residential campers is $185 per player while for commuter campers it is $150 per player. Registration is first come first serve.

In addition, this basketball prospect camp will be under the supervision of the Christopher Newport University Captains women’s basketball coaching staff. A certified athletic trainer will be in attendance all through the duration of the event. Overall, it will be a physically demanding but fun training atmosphere.

Christopher Newport University Captains Women’s Basketball Prospect Camp Organizers

The head coach of the Christopher Newport University Captains women’s basketball team is Bill Broderick, a native of Vienna, Virginia. He is a bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education graduate from Frostburg State University. It is also where he earned his Master of Education in Health and Physical Education. Coach Bill Broderick is now entering his eighth season at the helm of the university’s women’s basketball program. He is the 2012-13 VaSID State Coach of the Year and also the 2007-08 Region Coach of the Year. Coach Broderick has led the team to a Final Four NCAA Tournament finish in the 2016-17 season.
