Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens Women’s Basketball Elite Camp

Join the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens Women’s Basketball Elite Camp on the 23rd of August. The registration fee which includes lunch and a camp t-shirt is $100 per player. Registration is on a first come first served basis. It is set to run daily from 10 o’clock in the morning until 4 o’clock in the afternoon. This basketball elite camp is going to take place at the premier Rains Center which is on the Pomona College campus. Furthermore, this basketball elite camp is available to all high school girls who intend to become a college basketball student-athlete. The training program focuses on improving on-court skills. It also 5-on-5 game and a question and answer session with the Sagehens coaching staff and current players. The program also provides the ideal venue to showcase outstanding basketball abilities.

In addition, running this basketball elite camp is the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens women’s basketball coaching staff. Current Sagehens basketball players are also in attendance to help facilitate the program. It is going to be a physically demanding but fun training experience.

What to Bring to Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens Women’s Basketball Elite Camp

  • Basketball shoes, tennis shoes, several pairs of shorts, T-shirts, socks, and supporters for practices.

About Pomona College and Pitzer College

Both Pomona College and Pitzer College are private, coeducational, liberal arts colleges in Claremont, California. Both colleges are sustaining academic excellence. Pomona College is 6th in National Liberal Arts Colleges in the 2018 edition of the US News and World Reports Best Colleges rankings. It is also 3rd in the Best Value Schools rankings. Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens Women’s Basketball Elite Camp Organizers

The Head Coach of the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens women’s basketball team is Jill Pace, a native of Bath, Maine. Coach Jill Pace is now entering her third season at the helm of the Sagehens women’s basketball program. She is a bachelor’s degree in sociology and gender and women’s studies graduate from Bowdoin College. Moreover, she earned her master’s degree in exercise and sport studies at Smith College. Ultimately, Coach Jill Pace is the 2018-19 SCIAC Coach of the Year. She is also the 2018-19 D3hoops.com West Region Coach of the Year. These awards come after she led the Sagehens to their first-ever SCIAC conference tournament championship.

The Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens women’s basketball assistant coaches are Raquel Viramontes and Alaina Woo. Coach Raquel Viramontes is entering her fourth season with the coaching staff. She is a Pomona College graduate with a degree in biology. She also has a master’s in education degree earned at Claremont Graduate University.  Then, Coach Alaina Woo, a native of San Carlos, California is entering her first season with the coaching staff. She is a bachelor’s degree in Public Policy Analysis, and a concentration in Science, Technology and Society graduate from Pomona College.
